Operation Instructions
Initial Setup
1. Check Components: Ensure hoses, literature pack, and parts are included. Read all safety instructions before use.
2. Power On: Plug into a grounded 3-prong outlet. Ensure water supply is connected and faucets are on.

- Run a Normal cycle with 1 cup of bleach (no clothes) to clean the tub.
- Familiarize with controls: Cycle Control knob, Temperature selector, Load Size.

Test Run: Run an empty Normal cycle with hot water to check for leaks and operation.
Operating the Washing Machine
1. Sort Laundry: Sort by color, fabric type, soil level, and size. See Laundry Tips for details.
2. Add Detergent: Measure and add detergent to the bottom of the basket before loading clothes. Avoid excess to prevent suds issues.
3. Load Clothes: Loosely load up to the top of the basket; mix large and small items for balance.
4. Select Settings: Choose cycle, temperature, and load size. Add bleach or softener if needed. Close lid.
5. Start Cycle: Pull out Cycle Control knob to start. Lid locks during operation; status lights show progress. Pauses are normal for redistribution. To pause, push knob in; lid unlocks after stopping.
6. End Cycle: Remove clothes promptly when complete to avoid wrinkling or odors.
Cycle Selection
Select the cycle that best fits the load for optimal fabric care. Not all options available on all models. All rinses are cold unless specified.
- Normal (Heavy/Regular/Light): Cottons, linens, towels; heavy/normal/light soils; Hot/Warm/Cold; High spin; spray rinse.
- Casual (Heavy/Regular/Light): No-iron fabrics, synthetics; Hot/Warm/Cold; Low spin.
- Delicate (Regular/Light): Silks, delicates; Warm/Cold; Low spin; spray rinse; use mesh bags.
- Hand Washables: Small hand-wash items; Warm/Cold; Low spin; gentle agitation.
- Rinse & Spin: Extra cold rinse and high spin.
- Drain & Spin: No wash/rinse; high spin to remove water.
Note: Washer pauses briefly throughout cycles; lid must be closed during operation.
Laundry Tips
- Sorting: Separate lint givers from receivers; colors from whites; heavy from light items.
- Pre-Treating Stains: Treat stains immediately with appropriate products.
- Detergent Use: Measure per load size; use HE if available; add to basket bottom.
- Bleach: Add liquid chlorine to dispenser after fill starts; max 1 cup; color-safe only on labeled fabrics.
- Fabric Softener: Dilute and add to dispenser; or add during rinse pause.
- Load Size: Do not overload; clothes should move freely for cleaning.
- Water Temperature: Hot for heavy soils/whites, Warm for colors, Cold for delicates/saving energy.
- Maintenance: Run monthly clean cycle with bleach; clean dispensers regularly.
Troubleshooting
- Washer Won't Run: Check power cord, circuit breaker, lid closed, Cycle knob pulled out.
- No Water: Faucets on? Hoses kinked/clogged? Inlet screens clean?
- Leaks: Check hose connections, level machine, overload.
- Vibration/Noise: Level washer; even load; feet in contact with floor.
- Not Draining/Spinning: Drain hose height (30-96"); clogs; unbalanced load.
- Wet Clothes: Low spin selected; excess suds; run Drain & Spin.
- Incorrect Temp: Hoses reversed; faucets off; energy-saving mode.
- Poor Cleaning: Overload; wrong cycle; insufficient detergent.
- Lid Locked: Wait for cycle end; push knob to cancel; hold for 3 sec if needed.
- Odors: Run clean cycle; unload promptly; less detergent.
Installation Instructions
Warning: To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, or injury, follow all safety precautions. Disconnect power before installation. Ensure proper grounding. Install on a firm, level floor.
Remove Old Washing Machine
- Shut off water supply and unplug power cord.
- Disconnect hoses from faucets and drain.
- Remove shipping materials if present.
- Move old machine away and clean installation area.
Installing New Washing Machine
- Unpack and remove shipping materials.
- Place in location with clearance for hoses and lid opening.
- Connect inlet hoses: Hot to hot, cold to cold; ensure washers/seals are in place.
- Attach drain hose to standpipe/laundry tub (height 30-96", secure to prevent siphoning).
- Level the machine.

Leveling the Machine
- Place level on top of cabinet.
- Adjust front and rear feet so all four contact floor evenly.
- Tighten locknuts.
- Recheck after first loads; use shims if floor uneven.
Electrical and Water Connections
Dedicated 15 A, 120 V, 60 Hz grounded outlet required. No extension cords. Flush water lines before connecting. Replace hoses every 5 years.
